Film Academy is an after school programme of inspirational and creative film making sessions, supported by AccessNFTS, the National Film and Television School's outreach programme. Over the course of 10 sessions, the students will create and produce an original short film for a charity that their school supports.
For the Autumn term the focus will be on developing a campaign film that will make a difference to those the charity supports. The children will start by developing ideas for the film, before pitching these ideas to camera. Once the idea is chosen the crew will be responsible for writing, designing, acting, producing and creating the music for their film.
All of this under the guidance of experienced teachers, filmakers, artists and musicians. Throughout the term the students will work towards their certification in filmmaking supported by AccessNFTS and the Children's International Film Festival.
